About Panel of Solicitors

Panel of Solicitors of Legal Aid Department consists of private body of advocate & solicitors with certificate of Legal practice and appointed by LAD Director General to handle Civil and Syariah cases at a certain rate which will be paid by LAD.

Types of cases assign to panel of solicitors are :

  1. Cases whereby both parties qualified for legal aid and LAD Director will not be able to represent either party or both parties in this case.
  2. Cases which involve complicated legal issues.
  3. Other cases which will raise conflict of Interest if represented by LAD.
